12 Month Letter to Future Self

There is considerable power in manifesting your future, goals, aspirations, when we use tools that can assist us when we need to find more clarity in our lives. Writing a letter to yourself which will be opened twelve month’s from the date of writing is understood in some cases to wield an almighty power in your life. If you can write it from a non-linear perspective, with the mental body, your mind, disengaged, the letter has the potential to become quite magical. Here is my take on it and I wish you well in this lovely task. Please contact me with any questions, suggesions and to share your experience, as I am interested to hear how you go and would love to hear about it.

Best of luck,
Wishing you Lots of love and laughter,
Lynette Mitchell xo

Knox City Council – Launch of Guide to Disability & Aged Services in Knox

Knox City Council – Launch of Guide to Disability & Aged Services in Knox

I was delighted to be invited to the launch of this wonderful guide, of which I have several copies if you would like one. They are also available at the Council, online as a Word or PDF document. Here is the link to that page for downloading. While the laughter club is not in it, it will be added in future and was overlooked, because it was comprised of the Seniors Festival Booklet, which we were in. It is a very high quality book of 151 A4 pages and will no doubt be a ‘lifesaver’ for many who need to look something up. I acknowledge and thank Peter Johnston who was responsible for this Guide and is vary helpful to me in promoting Laughter Yoga and the Ferntree Gully Laughter Club.

Much of the focus of my laughter work is with the disabled, aged and their carers, besides schools and not-for-profit organisations. I do enjoy being involved in the community and laughter helps make this happen!

Stress, Suggestions and Using Laughter Yoga

Stress, Suggestions and Using Laughter Yoga

What does the word stress bring up for you? Very likely it will be negative because the media influences us that stress is ‘bad’ and we are directed to find relief from it with buying, eating, drinking, holidaying etc. Many people are so accustomed to living in a stressful manner and may not realise that there are ways to combat it. It can be that when we our time is restricted, it is beneficial to feel under pressure and we can achieve that without sending our bodies into a stressed mode. In fact it can be uplifting and energising, rather like self-testing or facing a challenge. Laughter and other things like mindfulness and meditation can help a lot, here’s my take on incorporating Laughter Yoga into your daily routine – Read More

John Mitchell & Vicki at Ferntree Gully Laughter Club

I have this much limitation laugh (which is very little) and this much potential (which is huge), at Ferntree Gully Laughter Club.

and finger indicating that little limitation
and next the arms go wide showing how much potential.

Seniors Festival, Time and Self Renewal

The Seniors Festival is coming up in October and is celebrated nationally. This blog was prompted and written firstly as an article for a local newspaper, when I was pondering a topic related to our laughter club. It struck me that due to October being the month for seniors Australia wide, it would centre around seniors, leading on to self-evaluation if we choose to do it. The Ferntree Gully Laughter Club is involved with the Seniors Festival in Knox, we are on page 19 of the booklet. Please click here to read, thanks a lot and take good care of yourselves.
Love,
Lynette xo
